AEHDA Organizational Profile


Establishment:   Founded in July 2003, AEHDA transitioned into an officially registered non-governmental organization (NGO) in December 2020 (Registration Number: 5085). It operates as a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian, and women-led humanitarian organization.

Mission and Mandate:   AEHDA's mission encompasses education, the One Health Approach, healthcare, public nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene, food security, advocacy, communication, training, capacity building, research, and development. Targeting rural and urban areas of Afghanistan, AEHDA employs adaptable and participatory strategies for community empowerment.

Vision: AEHDA envisions an educated, informed, healthy, peaceful, and developed society in Afghanistan, free from misconceptions, deprivation, discrimination, injustice, corruption, disability, and violence.

Strategic Principles:

AEHDA operates under contextual, participatory, transparent, accountable, professional, and gender-sensitive principles. Emphasis is placed on community empowerment, sustainable development, and public-private partnerships.

Objectives:

AEHDA aims to enhance education, improve healthcare, advocate for national policies, empower communities, advance knowledge through research, and address issues in nutrition, agriculture, and public services.

Principles and Values: Guided by justice, independence, integrity, transparency, accountability, impartiality, professionalism, neutrality, innovation, creativity, volunteerism, and activism.

Areas of Operation:

AEHDA focuses on contemporary education, One Health Approaches, healthcare, nutrition, food security, agriculture, advocacy, communication, training, and research and development.

Structure:

Governed by a General Assembly and a Board of Directors, AEHDA ensures efficient decision-making. The Board, comprising intellectuals, development workers, and experts, oversees long-term strategies, while operational decisions are made by the management team led by the Managing Director.

AEHDA, a women-led force, is dedicated to creating positive change in Afghanistan through its comprehensive, contextual, and impactful humanitarian initiatives.

This statute was established in light of the eleventh and fourteenth articles of the Law of Non-Governmental Organizations in order to integrate the activities and identify the competencies and responsibilities of the leadership body, as well as to create order and discipline and to establish a transparent accountability system in the institution.

این اساسنامه در روشنی ماده یازدهم و چهاردهم قانون موسسات غیر دولتی بمنظور انسجام فعالیت ها و تشخیص صلاحیت ها و مسؤلیت های ارگان رهبری و همچنان ایجاد نظم ودسپلین و برقراری  سیستم حسابدهی شفافیت در موسسه وضع گردیده

First article:

This AEHDA constitution has been established in light of the eleventh and fourteenth articles of the Law of Non-Governmental Organizations NGOs in order to integrate the activities and identify the competencies and responsibilities of the leadership body, as well as to create order and discipline and to establish a transparent accountability system in the Organization.
